- It is important to consistently work on your senior project, whether it is break or we are in school. What did you do over the break with your senior project?
- Over the break, I worked on Independent Component 1 and got in about 15 more hours for my mentorship.
- What was the most important thing you learned from what you did, and why? What was the source of what you learned?
- I'm about to finish my first class at Udacity and since the class I chose to take is mainly about basic HTML, it's been more of a review instead of learning anything new. However, at my mentorship, my mentor challenged me by leaving me to design a site all by myself with minimal guidance which I managed to do in about 2 days. After finishing that site, we discussed my future plans such as possible colleges and courses to see if I'm really interested in furthering this line of work. The next time we met, he once again left me to design/code another site that just got approved which took most of the time that day. I think the most important thing I learned was how broad this field is in terms of classes offered in college. Rarely is there a class dedicated specifically to web design/development. I found this out by visiting the course lists for colleges that I was interested in as per my mentor's recommendation.
- Your third interview will be a 10 question interview related to possible answers for your EQ.Who do you plan to talk to and why?
- I am planning to interview my mentor again and if I find the time, another web designer that I met up with at the beginning of the year over by LA which was too inconvenient to go to for my mentorship hours. I'd like to have a better interview with my mentor seeing as we were pressed for time the last time I interviewed him and only managed to ask the minimum amount of questions that I had. Hopefully this time would have more depth and substance than the last time.
