- What is the most important thing I learned from the interview? Is there anything I would do differently for other interviews?
- The most important thing that I learned from this interview is that a lot of the programming aspects of my topic can be researched and learned by myself. This is especially helpful when or if I decide to pursue this further since I will have more material and skills to build on as opposed to starting from scratch (which isn't a bad thing, but it would require more work). In terms of how the interview was set up, I think my questions flowed naturally except in the beginning which was slightly awkward. However, the only problem I ran into was trying to find a comfortable and less distracting area to conduct the interview.
- Did I get additional resources and contacts? What is the most useful? Why?
- I did not manage to gain more contacts, but I did manage to obtain a few resources. He was able to give me websites and specific topics to research will I think will help me when trying to gain more experience on my own instead of having to rely on a class or person to teach me specific codes or techniques.
- What makes my interviewee qualified to help me?
- My interviewee is currently studying computer science and has established fully functional websites and is purely self-taught. Although he does not specialize in the creative design aspect, he is mostly concerned with the development and functionality of websites. This interview gave me insight on another aspect of web development which deals in a different side of the coding/programming sector.
