- What is the most important thing I learned in this interview?
- In this interview I learned more about how most of the responsibilities of anyone in this field involves the client and ensuring their satisfaction. While they may have their own vision of what they want their website to look at, they may not always be open to hearing why it is not such a good idea in terms of what would make their website stand out and still be efficient and easy to use for their own clients. A big concept that seems to pop up a lot in my interviews is patience. Clients will not always be open to change and that your main goal is to ensure their satisfaction. This does not necessarily mean that you cannot express to them that their ideas may end up hurting their cause, but do so in a way that does not cause any tensions with the clientele.
- How will that affect my final lesson?
- Once again, I did not have much luck trying to find a graphic designer to interview in person so I managed to get more information on the technical aspect of web design. However, this interview was also much more tailored to my essential question that revolves around the client and while my answers have not changed, I find it interesting that there are many ways that a designer's creativity is somewhat stifled in this field both my man and machine.
Note: Please excuse my coughing in the beginning, I was slightly sick during the interview and had to slice up the audio to remove some of the coughing fits (sorry ಥ_ಥ)
