Blog 25 - Last Presentation Reflection

  • Positive Statement: What are you most proud of in your block presentation and/or your senior project? Why?
    • I am especially proud of everything I managed to accomplish in at my mentorship. I feel as though everything I was able to do with my mentor and the information he gave me, not only on my topic but life in general is really going to stick with me for a long time. It also made for a good experience in learning how to approach other people and being able to talk to them which is necessary for the future.
  • Questions to Consider:
    • What assessment would you give yourself on your block presentation? Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
      • P; I feel as though I hit all the minimum requirements such as making talk time and just the overall time we needed.
    • What assessment would you give yourself on your overall senior project? Use the component contract to defend that assessment.
      • P; I failed to turn in a few verification forms but other than that, I was able to meet all the minimum requirements for blog posts, interviews, research checks, and lesson plans that were asked of us.
  • What worked for you in your senior project?
    • The early release at lunch really helped me to be able to go to my mentor for at least 2-3 hours a day as long as my mentor allows. The time also made it easy to work on project as well as core class work (pretty balanced).
  • (What didn't work?) If you had a time machine, what would you have done differently to improve your senior project?
    • Specifically for my block presentation, I do not think I was able to provide props seeing as my topic is all electronic which was difficult so having that as a requirement really made for a difficult time. I also wish I spoke a lot louder, but that has always been a problem on my part so I should have tried to solve that throughout the year.
  • Finding Value: How has the senior project been helpful to you in your future endeavors? Be specific and use examples.
    • As I mentioned before, I think my mentorship experience has given me valuable technical and worldly knowledge and skills that I can carry with me in my future endeavors. So having gathered more experience in approaching people and networking will come in handy for whatever I choose to do if I decide to not pursue my topic of Web Design as a career.
